2022 Kentucky Common Yeast Project

Greetings LCL Members! We are planning on doing a club project brew for the November 2022 meeting. If you were around back when we did the Single Hop Project beers, this will be similar except we are going to vary the yeast instead of the hops used. Bob Heck has been kind enough to donate his Kentucky Common recipe for this brew. Please sign up here and note which yeast you are planning on using:

Recipe:
For a 5.5 gallon batch (fermenter volume)

7.5 lbs 2-Row malt ( 71%)
2 lbs Flaked Corn (19%)
9 oz Pale Chocolate (5.3%)
7 oz Crystal 120 (4.2%)
1 oz Hallertau @ 60 minutes
1 oz Hallertau @ 5 minutes

Mash at 153F for 60 minutes

Target OG: 1.051
Target FG: 1.009
Target ABV: 5.47%
Target IBU: 21
Target SRM: 17
