Single Hop Project

Here's the basic recipe for 5.5 gallons in the fermenter:

Grain:

  • 11 lbs pale
  • 0.5 lbs Crystal 20 (20L)
  • 0.5 lbs Munich (10L)
  • 1.0 lb cane sugar

Hops:

  • 0.5 ounces Columbus hops 16.1% @ 60 minutes
  • 1 ounce of chosen hops @ 15 minutes
  • 1 ounce of chosen hops @ 5 minutes
  • 1 ounce of chosen hops at flameout
  • 1 ounce of chosen hops for dry hop for 4-7 days

Yeast:

  • US-05, WLP001, WY1056

The various batches of this recipe were tasted in July 2014 side by side at a club meeting.
