Competitions

Listed here are the Competitions that are part of the Southeastern Homebrewers Circuit.  Our club competes with 29 other clubs annually.  Click the links below to sign up, get more information, and see results.  Also LCL collaborates on shipping or delivery of entries. LCl Colonial Cup Logo

Colonial Cup is an amateur beer making competition organized by the Lowcountry Libations Homebrew Club, and is held in November in historic Charleston, SC. It is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and is part of the Southeastern Homebrewers Association (SHA) competition circuit.

Proceeds go to our local charity, Camp Happy Days (CHD). If you are a commercial brewer looking to run a competition, contact us, we have lots of experience!

Results from competitions hosted by member clubs are combined throughout the calendar year to determine the SHA Brewer of the Year, Mead & Cider Maker of the Year, and Homebrew Club of the Year awards.

Visit the Southeastern Homebrewers Association website to view the annual competition schedule and learn more about SHA and its programs.
